Incredible views, food & pubs in the Dublin & Wicklow Mountains!

We make our way out of Dublin City and up the Dublin Mountains to our first stop, which boasts some of the best views over Dublin Bay. Take it all in whilst sitting in the beer garden or through the window beside the cosy turf fire… it’s up to you!

Just 10 minutes up the road is our second stop, one of Ireland’s oldest and most famous pubs, Johnnie Fox’s. We have plenty of time to enjoy a Guinness and wander around this amazing pub.

Johnnie Fox's visited on Rural Pub Tours

Our next leg of the journey takes us from Johnnie Fox’s to Ireland’s highest village, and along the way, you encounter fantastic views of the Sugarloaf mountain and surrounding scenery. On arrival at our next pub visit, we make a quick drink/toilet stop at a specially chosen pub before moving on to our next pub, where we have dinner.

After our quick stop, we continue traveling through the amazing countryside of Co. Wicklow, “The Garden of Ireland.” We then pass over the Wicklow mountains, giving you some of the most spectacular views found in Ireland. Even on a misty foggy day, it takes your breath away.

The next stop is for dinner at an old hunting lodge which was built back in 1801. The Lodge is now family-run and offers good, hearty, wholesome homestyle-cooked meals. After a relaxing dinner*, you can sit outside enjoy to the fresh air and the breathtaking setting of Ireland’s longest glacial valley or sit by the fire with an Irish coffee and have a chat with the locals.

Before our last stop, we make a visit to a small, cosy traditional country pub just 10 minutes away. The last stop of the night is our music stop for live traditional Irish music. On occasion, this pub can change in order for us to offer the best traditional Irish music.
